    Dr Womble, originally from Fayetteville and son of two public school educators, attended UNC-Chapel Hill for an undergraduate BS degree in chemistry and for medical school. After that he did 4 years of training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Kentucky, and he is board certified in both areas of medical care and enjoys caring for patients of all ages. Following this training, he served as a clinical associate with Duke University Medical Center in a primary care practice in Cary, N.C. . In 1999 he established Internal Medicine and Pediatric Associates, PA and has had the pleasure of working with other outstanding primary care providers in this longstanding Cary practice. 


    Dr Womble has been married to Amy, a pediatric speech language pathologist, for 40 years. They have 3 adult children, an incredible daughter-in -law, a granddaughter whom he adores , another granddaughter on the way, and a new golden retriever puppy. James and Amy now live in Raleigh after raising their family in Cary. They have been active supporters of public schools and their local church family at Fairmont United Methodist Church. He loves travel and any outdoor activities, but especially hiking trips and gardening. Some of his trips have included medical mission teams to Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Peru. He looks forward to getting to know you and your family and helping you navigate your health care.

    A native of New Orleans, Dr Outlaw, came to UNC-Chapel Hill for medical school initially and returned to stay for good after residency at Tulane in New Orleans. He remains a fan of all things New Orleans. In his spare time, he loves spending time with his family, listening to local music, and (almost) all things outdoors. Or any combination of the 3!

    Dr. Capps is a primary care physician who loves caring for patients of all ages.  Born in Winston-Salem and raised in Raleigh and Wilmington, he has always called North Carolina home. 


    He is a proud graduate of North Carolina State University, where he earned dual degrees in Engineering and Humanities. He attended Medical School at UNC before completing his training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University. This brief time away from North Carolina led to meeting his wife, now a local pediatrician, and together they returned to the Triangle, where they have raised their three children and enjoy cheering on the Wolfpack. 


    Outside the office, Dr. Capps is a member of the Brooks Avenue Church of Christ and enjoys backpacking and learning French, and has played the clarinet throughout his life, most recently with the Triangle Wind Ensemble.

    Ersilia Sarno is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who provides thoughtful, comprehensive care to individuals and families throughout the lifespan. Born in southern Italy and raised in Boston, she brings a diverse background and a steady, patient-centered approach to her clinical work.


    Ersilia earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Wheaton College and began her healthcare career in oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She completed her nursing degree at Simmons College, training at Harvard University-affiliated hospitals, and later gained extensive experience in both adult and pediatric intensive care at Moore Regional Hospital and Duke University Medical Center.


    She completed her Family Nurse Practitioner graduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she now also serves as an adjunct professor at the UNC Graduate School of Nursing. Her clinical experience spans OB/GYN, primary care, elder care, and family medicine. She provides a full range of services including wellness care, preventive medicine, and the management of acute and chronic conditions. 


    Ersilia values clear communication, evidence-based practice, and building long-term relationships with the patients and families she serves. 


    Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, and staying active through Pilates, yoga, and weight training. She lives in Cary with her husband, their daughter, and their dog. Ersilia is fluent in English and Italian and conversational in Spanish.

    A native of Chagrin Falls, Ohio and moved to North Carolina in June, 2014. She completed her BSN at The Ohio State University and then moved back to Cleveland where she worked for The Cleveland Clinic Foundation for 17 years. She obtained her MSN and family nurse practitioner degree from Kent State University and completed her internship at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Senders Pediatrics. She has worked in a variety of areas including research, OB/GYN, and anesthesia. Kristin and her family live in Chapel Hill. She enjoys hiking, scuba diving, and her dogs.
